OtmarHonsberg, Director of Applications Engineering at KUKA, said: &#8220;The &#8216;Assembly in Motion&#8217; solution turns the robot into an intelligent positioning unit for measuring equipment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>KUKA provides intelligent control software (Assembly in Motion) that allows collecting data on the assembly line&#8217;s exact position and speed on the assembly line to the robot, maintaining a stable connection with the assembly line. This is how collaborative robots obtain accurate information on their speed and position, adjust their activities to the processes.<\/p>\n<p>Assembly in Motion is a solution that minimizes space requirements. Together with the lightweight KUKA LBR iiwa robot, the operator can work safely in the tightest space within the same work zone. With reconfiguration options and the small footprint of the lightweight robot, the site can be quickly and easily expanded for future operations. This innovation allows obtaining reliability and efficiency in the measurement process in the car body.
