However, Airskin makes faster industrial robots as safe to work in close proximity as cobots.<\/p>\n<p>When used, Airskin technology causes a robot to move more slowly when a person approaches or to stop moving altogether if the person touches the robot. The system consists of specially designed air cushions for robots, and the pressure inside the cushion is continuously inspected. If contact occurs, the Airskin is activated and the internal pressure is altered by pressing on the air cushion.<\/p>\n<p>Even with a heavy-duty load, Airskin ensures safe interaction between robots and people. The SafeOperation technology package from <a href=\"https:\/\/usedrobotstrade.com\/products\/kuka-2\">KUKA<\/a> and the robot controller &#8211; all parts of the Airskin system communicate smoothly and seamlessly with each other thanks to the SafeOperation technology package.<\/p>\n<p>Skyline Robotics is one of the companies benefiting from Airskin and uses the technology in its Ozmo automated high-rise window cleaning system.
