The demonstration focuses on the robot’s ability to perform deburring, a crucial process in manufacturing that removes burrs and sharp edges from metal parts. Productivity Inc’s incorporation of a tool changing platform into its robotic cells allows the robot to quickly switch between various tools and applications, decreasing machining cycle time.
\nThe process begins with the Renishaw probe, which locates the part and establishes a user frame to create a toolpath for the RCT-151. This pneumatically controlled deburring tool maintains a constant force that can be adjusted in real time and compensates for surface irregularities, robot repeatability and part location by following the part profile.<\/p>\n
