The adept version robots are famous for their robustness and durability. Adept viper 6 is not an exception as it has high speed and precision suitable for machine tending, assembly, handling and packaging especially in medical and pharmaceutical products. Its motors have high torque per amp and 8 kHz rate of servo update which improves path following.
In terms of operationally, the Viper S650 is simple to calibrate using absolute encoders which have high precision and slow speed following. The parts are also standardised across adept robots to enhance interchangeability. Other options include adept DeskTop, Adept Vision (Adept Sight or sAVI) and dual configuration. There are also class 1 versions for clean room applications while IP65 versions are preferable for harsh environments.
