Robot details

This is a robot available in five versions with a handling capacity of up to 225 kg, reaching up to 3200 mm. Developed from the famous IRB 6400 version, this version can be mounted on a 11 meters long ABB linear unit and has got high velocity and well rounded shape to allow for a larger working area. The machine uses one spring to counterbalance. This system is informed by the Kuka and Fanuc viewpoints. The IRB 6650 is also built with a Service Information structure, allowing it to have easier plan service and maintenance.

The robot is also equipped with the S4Cplus controller which ensures that the machine has superior motion control. The S4Cplus is characterized by a dynamic based control, QuickMove for short rotation times, and the TrueMove function for high accuracy movements. As a result, the robot is able to independently work at high speed. The S4CPlus is then combined with the RAPID programming language making it more powerful and easy to control for a wide range of functions.

The robot has got two built in Ethernet channels to provide easier service and factory networking. These include field bus and serial channels for PLC and PC connections. The controller supports a wide range of functions and tasks. These software help in simplifying control of the robot and effortless monitoring of its functions
