The abb 6640 is a robot designed to perform a variety of functions and as a result has been found to have a high production capacity. It has seven meters long and easy to control components. This makes the machine fit various functions such as equipment tending and applications.
The IRB6640 is characterized with increased path performance reason being the robot runs the second generation of True move and quick move. As a result, this gives the machine more accurate motions, therefore leading to less time for programming as well as better process results.
The robots make up makes it easy to install as well as maintain. This is due to some of its qualities such as fork lifting pockets, spacious robot foot for easy maintenance and weighs 400 kg less for easy installation.
The IRB6640 is also made up of the latest IRC5 controller. It is worth noting that the IRC5 is ABB’s fifth generation robot controller whose motion control technology comprising of TrueMove and QuickMove enable high accuracy and performance in the IRB6640. As such, this makes the robot dynamic and flexible resulting in high efficiency in the shortest time possible. In addition, the high speed and performance are delivered automatically with no tuning required by the programmer.
The robot has got a simple programming language referred to as RAPID programming language. It entails unlimited language comprising of newly improved features which have got a powerful support for many other functions and applications.
The robot is also quite effective in terms of communication. This is because of the IRC5 controller which supports the IRB6640 robot in having a well behaved, state of the art connection with other networks. This includes; a powerful sensor interface which can be accessed remotely.
