A shelf version of KR 150 series 2000, this robot maintains the same robustness reminiscent of its associates. It takes a main role as a top loader and can do finishing of produced parts in the same cycle. The KR 150-2K is available in three versions namely KR 150-2K (3100 mm, 150 kg) , KR 150L130-2K (3300 mm, 130 kg) , KR 150L110-2K (3500 mm / 110 kg) all of which are suitable for machining, spot welding, handling and palletizing.
The machine utilises KR C2 ed2005 controller which has been made with standard PC components to meet different individual requirements. For example, two free slots are provided for anchoring of external axes hence eliminating the need for an additional cabinet. In case more need to be included, an additional top mount cabinet can be included to support up to six more axes.
Maintaining the controller is also simple due to its high accessibility and modular design. By allowing connection with external networks, online diagnosis and servicing is also available with a comprehensive safety concept. Data back up through CD-ROM and a floppy drive is also available to facilitate monitoring.
A uniform concept of all KUKA robots from light to heavy payload enhances interchange ability and planning while promoting conversance. Plug and play functionality provides rapid start up while its modular design enhances communication between robots in a system.
