Available in three versions, the heavy payload KR 240-2 can handle 240 kg, 210 kg and 180 kg depending on 2700 mm, 2900 and 3100 mm reaches respectively. They are very much suitable for loading and unloading tasks as well as plasma cutting, stud welding and adhesive bonding.

The KRC2 Ed05 controller integrated in this series is very robust and user friendly. Apart from providing packaged software to facilitate programming tasks, the operator- with the help of standard PC components- has virtually all the freedom to customise the system according to needs.

Serviceability of this system is also worth noting. The control panel features are not only highly accessible but also interchangeable due to use of standard components across the series. This does not however mean that their durability is compromised on.

More than ever, the new system has been made to accommodate connections with others. Through common bus systems, it can be integrated into external networks to enable remote operation, diagnosis and maintenance which are further enhanced by. Apart from the two extra slots available in the basic cabinet, an additional cabinet can be mounted on top to allow operation of six more external axes. In this case, interaction between the robots is highly optimised such that they act as one. It also has a plug and play feature for rapid start- up
