ROBOTIC SOLUTION FOR TRUCK UNLOADING WITH PICKLE ROBOT

Startup Robot Pickle Robot is developing robotic automation systems that unload trucks. The company says it has also raised $26 million in Series A funding led by Ranpak, JS Capital, Schusterman Family Investments, Catapult Ventures and Soros Capital. It has added growth-oriented industry veterans to its management team to accelerate commercialization of its flagship robotic unloading systems.

United Exchange’s Pickle Robot Unload system handles qualified ocean freight containers. UEC creates, procures and distributes premium private label and licensed consumer goods and food products offered by merchants around the world. Pickle will use the funding to accelerate go-to-market activities and strengthen deployment capabilities. The company has raised a total of nearly $32 million from investors such as Toyota AI Ventures, Third Kind Venture Capital and Hyperplane Ventures.

The company has already delivered its first unloading systems out of the lab and into customer operations.
