KUKA KR 30-3

Robot details

This is a newer version of KR30/2 which maintains the robustness of its predecessor but with lighter arms and more speed. It has short time cycle hence is suited for medium payload applications involving, assembly of parts, polishing, handling, machining, loading and unloading.

The KR 30-3 has a reach of 2033 mm and comfortably bears weights of up to 30 kg. Together with its 6 axes, it covers a large fist like envelope and manages 0.06 mm repeatability.

Equipped with KR C2 controller on Microsoft windows interface, the machine control panel provides a friendly environment for programming tasks. Ready made software packages for common tasks are also available to facilitate work.

The system is quite expandable through standard bus systems. For two external axes, additional slots are available within the basic cabinet while an extra cabinet can be mounted on top to support six more axes. Other available features include remote diagnosis and servicing plus data back up capability through floppy disk and CD-ROM drives.
