ABB’S ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY GUARANTEES MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY, PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY.

At an exhibition in Bilbao, Spain, ABB showcased its latest developments in robotics, drives and motors. BIEMH is the industry benchmark for digital technology and creative solutions for manufacturing. ABB‘s products are aimed at boosting productivity, flexibility and safety in industry.
ABB demonstrated for the first time a robotic cell for 3D metal printing that had a shorter cycle time, better protection and an incredibly fast industrial robot, the IRB 6700. It is built with ABB‘s Foundry Plus 2 protection system, which results in a 15% reduction in energy usage, and is perfect for withstanding the toughest working circumstances.
There are ten different models in the IRB 6700 series, which come in inverted and floor-mounted variations. To improve efficiency and process safety, the IRB6700 is connected to SafeMove for person identification to protect operators.
On display was the Cobot GoFaTM CRB 15000, ABB’s next-generation collaborative robot. By sharing the workspace simultaneously, this robot offers the greatest freedom and productivity. Each of GoFa’s six joints has integrated torque sensors that provide increased power and performance constraints.
By quickly suspending GoFa whenever it senses contact with a worker, they work together to reduce the risk of injury. In addition, with FlexPendant and Wizard Easy Programming, it is possible to control the robot in a short time and without prior robot programming experience.
One of the main innovations at the show was mobile robots, often referred to as autonomous mobile robotics (AMR). ABB‘s EBOT 350 is fast and efficient with a payload capacity of up to 1000 kg, offering exceptional agility. These platforms can move both longitudinally and transversely.
The adaptability of activities, the processes with multiple points of origin and destination that enable flexible workspaces and, ultimately, the intelligent connection that allows the transfer of information in real time to streamline data analysis and take action.
The EBOT 350 and the GoFa TM CRB 15000 cobot were operating in a BinPicking application with integrated 2D-3D vision, and visitors had the opportunity to observe them in action as they performed automated logistics for parts dispatch.
