KUKA KR4 ROBOTIC SOLUTION FOR THE ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY

KUKA has a new compact, low-maintenance, high-precision, and small-size robot.

With the new KR 4 AGILUS, KUKA this compact robotic model offers high performance at an excellent price. It is designed for the standard 600 x 600mm workspace and for multiple processing tasks in electronics manufacturing, as well as standard workspaces in other industries such as pick and place applications and food and beverage handling.

The robot can move loads of up to 4 kg quickly and efficiently. 600mm reach; to apply to more processes, the work area has been expanded by almost 40%. At the same time, it provides the highest precision in the smallest space.

KR 4 AGILUS has proven its great capacity and has maximum skill in concepts of repeatability and cycle time: the maximum variation of each work step is 0.02 mm and the cycle time is less than 0.4 seconds.

From another perspective, in terms of maintenance requirements, the method it adopts is more stringent and its maximum service life can be achieved with a minimum of maintenance work. Can handle almost any environment between 0 and 55 degrees

KR 4 AGILUS has a degree of protection IP40. Its reliability has been tested by TÜV; European CE mark and other American UL certification marks prove its reliable quality.

KR 4 AGILUS users are protected from uncontrolled electrostatic discharge and electrical charges (ESD), it is also suitable for delicate tasks.

KR 4 AGILUS is equipped with the latest KUKA control technology, with the KR C5 micro, a KSS 8.7 system software, which can monitor and troubleshoot processes more effectively.

Markus Hollfelder-Asam, KUKA Portfolio Manager comments, “With the KR 4 AGILUS, we are not just closing a gap in the KUKA portfolio.” “We are supplying a new small robot in the 4 kg class that is a real ‘big hit’, ideal for a wide spectrum of automation tasks, in the electronics industry and many other sectors.”

It is a team that can connect numerous peripheral devices, thanks to a wide range of interfaces expanding the potential of the application.

Compact industrial robots provide greater efficiency, performance and profitability in different production processes. Compact industrial robotic arms provide greater flexibility in assembling parts regardless of their shape and size.
