FANUC DR-3iB SERIES DELTA ROBOT

FANUC‘s first stainless steel food-grade delta robot for picking and packing primary food products is the new DR-3iB/6 STAINLESS. Showcased at Automate 2022 in Detroit, as well as a wide range of FANUC robots, cobots and industrial automation solutions. The exhibit features a new DR-3iB/6 STAINLESS delta robot that picks up bread, dairy and meat products from the central part of the demo work area and will place them in designated areas using a Soft Robotics gripper.
The robot, which is IP69K rated for food safety, is USDA and FDA compliant and sets a new standard for robotic food handling in terms of payload, speed, reach and sanitation.
The DR-3iB/6 STAINLESS is FANUC‘s first food-grade stainless steel delta robot for sorting and packaging major food products. The DR-3iB series, which is based on the basic parallel-link architecture. New design features make it easier than ever to program, clean and sanitise while still complying with even the strictest food safety laws.
The DR-3iB/6 STAINLESS STEEL is a fully enclosed stainless steel body that resists the chemicals and high pressures/temperatures used in washdown environments. The mirror shine of the robot ensures that any microbiological contamination can be completely removed. USDA/FDA specifications dictate the use of NSF H1 food grade lubricant, secondary oil collection reservoirs (with viewing windows to monitor for leaks), self-draining surfaces and many other requirements.
With a reach of 1200 mm (400 mm high) and a robust four-axis construction, it can handle weights of 6 kg at high speed. The new robot is controlled by FANUC’s newest R-30iB Plus controller, which has intelligent functions such as iRVision®, Force Sensing, Robot Link, Collision Guard and Zero Down Time (ZDT).
