The Motoman HD7 and HD8 represent an evolution in hygienic robotics. This collaboration has resulted in a design that minimises the risk of cross-contamination and makes them easy to clean, eliminating virtually all dead spaces and avoiding the use of external screws.

The robots are certified for use in high cleanliness areas, complying with GMP Class A according to EHEDG, EN 1672-2 and ISO 14159. In addition, the Motoman HD7 and HD8 comply with the cleanroom classes ISO 14644-1, being class 5 for the HD7 and class 4 for the HD8.

One of the most outstanding features of these robots is their particularly smooth surface with a roughness of less than 0.8 Ra, which significantly reduces the adherence of particles and micro-organisms. In addition, they have an IP69K protection rating, which ensures that they are resistant to dust and high-pressure water penetration. The materials used are mechanically and chemically resistant, making them perfectly suited to the cleaning agents used in the chemical and biotechnological industries.

The design of these robots also includes details such as special shaft seals and a rounded structure for easy cleaning and maintenance. The internal arrangement of cables and media lines prevents exposure to external contaminants, further enhancing operational safety in critical environments.

The Motoman HD7 and HD8 are equipped with Yaskawa’s latest Sigma 7 servo drive technology, enabling them to achieve exceptional performance in terms of motion, acceleration and precision. These robots offer a payload of 7 kg and 8 kg respectively, and can be controlled using YRC1000 or YRC1000micro controllers, which provide a wide range of modern options in terms of control, communication and safety.
