Robotics software company Wandelbots GmbH, based in Dresden (Germany), dedicated to developing robotics software to make robots easily accessible, has introduced the No-Code to Robotics category where robots can be taught using an intuitive input device (TracePen) accelerating automation in industries. Wandelbots has announced the addition of FANUC to its list of robotics suppliers. The third robotics manufacturer to include Wandelbots Teaching in its robots will be FANUC.
In 2023, FANUC plans to release the first iterations of its Wandelbots-enabled robots for sale.
With its Wandelbots Teaching platform, the company uses a code-free approach to robot development. Using TracePen, a tool that the platform’s creators introduced in 2020, companies can now collaborate with robots. With the use of an app, TracePen can change the robot’s course and can even be used on other robots. Users can trace a trajectory on TracePen with pinpoint accuracy thanks to its tracking capabilities.
Users will interact with the same interface on all robots thanks to Wandelbots’ software, which is compatible with all three companies it currently works with.

Bernd Heinrichs, co-CEO of the company, said that with the addition of FANUC, we are significantly closer to achieving our goal. With the addition of another robotics company to our portfolio, we can access new markets and offer the teaching of Wandelbots to a wide range of companies. FANUC is especially important for Wandelbots as we have just entered the US market where FANUC is widely used.
FANUC added three new models to its CRX series of cobots. The CRX line of cobots is designed for a wide variety of applications. Wandelbots secured $84 million in Series C funding, bringing the company’s total funding to date to $123 million. The CRX line of cobots is designed for a wide variety of applications such as inspection, machine loading and unloading, packaging, palletising, sanding, welding, etc.
