Yaskawa Europe is now able to install a state-of-the-art robot of proven design, the Motoman GP20, on the winning track of its renowned predecessor thanks to the ability to develop and manufacture robot models exclusively for the European market at the Slovenian Facility in Koevje.
Yaskawa Motoman GP20 is designed for handling and assembly jobs that require little space, such as loading and unloading of tools or injection molding machines. GP20 has a high degree of rigidity, making it ideal for machining and grinding applications. This latest addition to Yaskawa’s customer offering is also suitable for hollow arm applications. The Motoman GP25 remains accessible for applications that require a hollow arm design, thanks to this latest addition to Yaskawa’s customer base.
The Motoman GP20 is an exceptionally versatile industrial robot thanks to its slim form factor, 20kg payload, extended reach of over 1.8m and strong wrist resistance against ingress of dust and liquids (IP67). This latest addition, like other models in the GP series (GP stands for “General Purpose”), achieves incredibly good cycle times with excellent repeatability thanks to state-of-the-art servo technology.
