FANUC, a global leader in industrial robotics, is reaffirming its dedication to technical training by becoming a Premium Sponsor of EuroSkills 2025, which will take place from September 9 to 13 in Herning, Denmark. This partnership reflects FANUC’s ongoing support for nurturing young talent in robotic systems integration. EuroSkills, part of the WorldSkills Europe network, will feature competitions in advanced technical fields—including robotic system integration—and attract emerging professionals from across the continent.
EuroSkills: cultivating skills with real-world impact
EuroSkills is the European edition of the global technical skills competition. In 2025, young professionals from 13 countries will compete in disciplines such as automation, mechatronics, and robotics. With over 600 participants and an expected attendance of more than 100,000 visitors, the event will serve as a key platform for promoting careers in industrial automation and robotics.
Since 2018, FANUC has been a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International. Its role includes providing technical training, donating equipment, and mentoring young competitors in robotic automation at both EuroSkills and WorldSkills events.
Star equipment: the FANUC ER-4iA robot
For EuroSkills 2025, FANUC will provide its ER-4iA robot as the official training and competition platform. This compact six-axis manipulator features a robust IP67-rated design, a human-arm-like size, and an optimized payload—making it ideal for fast-paced assembly challenges and mobile cell testing. In competition settings, the ER-4iA allows participants to apply their knowledge in realistic, high-demand environments, bridging the gap between theory and hands-on experience.
Training strategy and sustainable innovation
Beyond sponsorship, FANUC supports structured educational programs such as the FANUC Academy, which offers advanced courses in programming, digital twins, and collaborative automation. EuroSkills 2025 will also spotlight sustainability in automation, emphasizing how system designers and integrators can program with energy efficiency in mind and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
FANUC’s involvement in EuroSkills 2025 goes far beyond branding—it’s a strategic investment in the future of automation. By equipping and supporting young competitors with professional-grade technology like the ER-4iA, FANUC is helping shape a new generation of integrators capable of optimizing industrial processes, leading Industry 4.0 projects, and driving sustainable technological practices.
